Raymond Gutierrez is new host of Pinoy Idol

Raymond’s new hosting job on GMA-7 was formally announced yesterday, January 20, at Showbiz Central. The twin brother of Richard Gutierrez was chosen by GMA-7 to host the most-awaited Philippine franchise of the world’s number one singing competition dubbed as Pinoy Idol.

This is the biggest break for Raymond’s hosting career. He is also currently hosting Showbiz Central and SOP in GMA-7 and Livin’ It Up in QTV 11.

Raymond will take the place of Ryan Agoncillo, who hosted Philippine Idol in ABC-5, where Mau Marcelo was declared the winner. Her runners-up, Gian Magdangal and Jan Nieto, are now part of Kapuso network’s SOP.

I just hope he is as spontaneous as Ryan Agoncillo who did a splendid job in the last Philippine Idol.

wala na bang natitirang talent ang GMA? i am a certified kapuso and it hurts me to see them losing. Like Showbiz Central, its more like a trash! Wlang sense ang mga topics.. in short di ito juicy! who cares kung ikaw ang pinaka maraming collection? o ikaw ang pinakamaring ek ek.. still hindi ito ang hinahanap ng mga tao. Raymond can stay there but hosting a big event like this… God… he cannot do it. Why dont you try Mo twister.. very spontaneous and articulate.

Hindi GMA ang pumili ng host at judges ng pinoy idol. Ang franchise company ng Idol na tinatawag na Fremantle media ang pumili sa mga personalities ng GMA kung sino ang pwedeng maging host at judges ng pinoy idol.
