Madriza, the single mom working in a call center looks like a Pinoy Idol potential but her problem was she overdid her singing towards the end.

I wonder why singers like Carmela Alonsabe made it. The “birit” style is just not original singing style. I still feel that not a lot of good singers were featured in this episode.

I just watched the pilot episode, the launch for the First Pinoy Idol. Featured was the audition in SM Cagayan de Oro City and Davao. I don’t know about you but I didn’t find any Pinoy Idol potential Top 24 finalists. Maybe Raymel Jose Fernandez or Darling. You know how it is in American Idol, I got used to seeking a voice that is totally unique. It was quite a disappointing first episode.

Following the successful auditions held in Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Batangas, Davao, Ilo-ilo, Mega Manila, Dagupan and Clark, 178 Idol hopefuls made it to the final lists and who will have chance pa to be part of the top 12 contenders.

The Pilot Episode was initially earmarked for April 12 but it will be moved to April 5.

Another person who auditioned was Kat but she was not as lucky.

Upon hearing about Pinoy Idol for the past few months, I thought this show is going to be interesting. Imagining that it is equally GOOD as American Idol.

*Tsk tsk, unfortunately, it appears to be AWFUL. I don’t think this show will last long like AI.
